On the 6th day of the first lunar month (January 30, 2020), at Bai Dinh pagoda (Ninh Binh), The Unified Buddhist Sangha of Vietnam has solemnly held the opening ceremony of Bai Dinh Pagoda - Xuan Canh Ty 2020. The opening ceremony of Bai Dinh pagoda is also an opening program to celebrate the National Tourism Year 2020. This year Ninh Binh is the host venue with the theme "Hoa Lư – Thousand-year-old Capital".

For many years, on the 6th of January every year, At Bai Dinh pagoda, welcoming thousands of monks and nuns, Buddhists and tourists from all over the world to gather, worship, worship the Buddha, pray for a prosperous and prosperous new year, and peace with the people.
Bai Dinh Pagoda Festival is officially opened on January 6, lasting until the end of March. This is the 6th year the Vietnam Buddhist Church in Ninh Binh Province has held the opening ceremony of Bai Dinh Pagoda festival since Trang An Scenic Complex, where Bai Dinh Pagoda is located, is recognized by UNESCO as a Cultural Heritage and world nature.
According to Venerable Thich Thanh Nhieu, Standing Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Council, abbot of Bai Dinh pagoda, ancient Bai Dinh pagoda was built thousands of years ago. Bai Dinh is one of the famous landscapes of the ancient capital Hoa Lu Ninh Binh. Despite many ups and downs of history, Bai Dinh pagoda is still respected and preserved by monks and nuns, Buddhists and people to this day.
Currently, Bai Dinh pagoda has been expanded and newly built. The temple has become a symbol of cultural values, ethics, spiritual centers, religious activities. It is a place that satisfies the spiritual beliefs of a large number of Buddhists and is also a demonstration of the Party and State's interest in freedom of belief and religion.
